About Corn
Corn, an Ethereum L2 using Bitcoin as gas, completed a $6.7 million seed round in 2024, followed by investments from Binance Labs and OKX Ventures. Its community financing raised $8.3 million, with an additional $1.5 million via Echo, totaling $16.5 million. On March 28, 2025, Corn conducted its TGE, and MEXC launched spot, contract, and flash swap trading simultaneously. Key milestones include the co-founder's advocacy for Ethereum L2 value capture and the vision of Bitcoin scarcity protected by people, not code, shaping its BTCFi-focused roadmap.
Negative: On May 14, 2026, the project announced it was halting network operations, and the Bitcoin L2 network officially shut down on June 30.
