About DoubleZero
DoubleZero is building an alternative internet tailored for distributed systems like blockchains. Instead of relying on the public internet, it uses dedicated fiber-optic links and specialized hardware to move data faster and more predictably.
Its core value proposition is simple: public internet routing is slow and unpredictable, which hurts blockchain performance. DoubleZero replaces those routes with dedicated fiber connections between nodes, reducing latency and jitter. This makes block propagation faster and network behavior more deterministic.
In the past six months, DoubleZero has expanded significantly. Its Edge platform, which delivers real-time market data such as Solana shreds and order book feeds, entered public testing and attracted hundreds of subscribers. The network's adoption among Solana validators also grew substantially, with connected validators now representing a majority of staked SOL. The protocol introduced a delegated staking program to incentivize geographic decentralization and added new fiber links across multiple cities.
However, there are notable concerns. The 2Z token has experienced a sharp price decline since its launch, and a large portion of the supply is scheduled to unlock soon, which could create selling pressure. The revenue model shifted from validator fees to subscription-based data services, meaning token buybacks now depend on the platform's ability to attract paying customers. Additionally, the network's growing centralization around Solana creates a concentration risk, and its reliance on physical infrastructure introduces vulnerabilities to cable damage and cross-border regulations.
DoubleZero launched its Edge platform to deliver low-latency on-chain data services for distributed systems.
Kalshi integrated with the DoubleZero fiber optic network, enabling real-time order book data delivery to institutional traders.
The project initiated the second phase of its delegation program to optimize global Solana validator distribution, supporting long-term network efficiency.
