About Moca Network
Moca Network is the identity and credential layer of the Animoca Brands ecosystem, turning memberships, tickets and game achievements into verifiable credentials with zero-knowledge proofs: proofs are generated locally, the chain checks only the result without exposing source data, and dApps read the proof instead of collecting documents again. It addresses apps that each build their own account system and reputation that cannot travel, forcing users to rebuild trust on every platform. Moca Chain, a standalone EVM Layer 1 with chain ID 2288, applies account abstraction around credentials, with MOCA paying gas for issuance, storage and verification and serving as stake; the companion AIR platform has linked more than 3.3 million accounts, making accounts and reputation portable.
Moca Chain went live on 29 September 2026, while credential supply still comes mainly from apps in the Animoca portfolio, so cross-ecosystem adoption determines network value; MOCA only covers gas and staking, protocol revenue does not flow back to the token, and converting account counts into on-chain activity depends on how much partners actually migrate.
Mocaverse, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, completed a $10 million financing round with participation from OKX Ventures.
It announced Moca 3.0 to establish project digital identity infrastructure using embedded user accounts.
The project launched MOCA token airdrop claims with a 1500 RP threshold for Moca ID holders, alongside MOCA Staking 1.0 to earn Staking Power.
Mainnet launch: On September 29, 2026, the Moca Chain mainnet went live as a standalone Layer 1 with EVM chain ID 2288, verifying credentials with zero-knowledge proofs; MOCA pays gas for credential issuance, storage and verification and is used for staking, while the AIR platform has connected over 3.3 million accounts, SK Planet plans to buy MOCA on the open market for its 28 million users, and OneFootball and Lamborghini are among partners.
Unlocks and valuation: About $1.49 million of tokens (3.96% of circulating supply) unlocked on September 11, with strategic partner allocations locked until January 2027. The token has no buyback, burn or fee-sharing mechanism; it trades near $0.0085 for a market cap around $36 million, roughly 98% below its December 2024 high of $0.4774.
Between September 29 and October 1, 2026, the Moca Chain mainnet went live in stages on Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, with EVM chain ID 2288 and MOCA covering gas, staking, oracle and verification fees; the AIR integration layer has onboarded more than 3.3 million accounts, with partners including SK Planet's 28 million KYC'd users and OneFootball.
The AIR3 SDK shipped on June 25, and a partnership with Turkish ticketing platform Biletinial covers 6 million active users across 63 cities and more than 3,000 venues using zero-knowledge proofs for age and attendance credentials. BYDFi placed MOCA on a special-treatment warning list on September 19, and on September 22 Animoca and Currenc Group suspended reverse-merger talks.
Moca Network's Future strategy and roadmap: Moca Chain mainnet went live in batches from September 29 to October 1, 2026, on Cosmos SDK and CometBFT with EVM chain ID 2288, where MOCA covers gas, staking, and validation fees. Next it will fully support OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP issuance and verification, enabling cross-chain identity workflows and scoped, revocable authorization for AI agents. With AIR3 SDK shipped, the team uses Turkish ticketing platform Biletinial as a template to replicate zero-knowledge age and attendance credentials to more partners. The goal is to grow the AIR integration layer from 3.3 million accounts into broader verified consumer scenarios.
