GSR recently welcomed a key addition to its team with James Newell joining in July 2026 as Executive Director of the Foundation and Director of Corporate Communications. With nearly two decades of experience in philanthropy and social enterprise, Newell previously served as a visiting lecturer at Bayes Business School. He will lead GSR's sustainability and social impact strategy, as well as the development and operations of the GSR Foundation, promoting inclusive access to blockchain technology. Prior to this, he held management roles in several non-profit organizations. This appointment underscores GSR's commitment to strengthening its social responsibility and industry influence while deepening its institutional-grade crypto services.
