About Casper
Casper, a live PoS blockchain built on the Casper CBC specification, has reached several milestones of long-term significance. In 2020, its mainnet launched, introducing a fully decentralized, upgradeable layer-1 network. In July 2024, a security incident affected 13 wallets with approximately $6.7 million in illicit transactions; the network was temporarily paused, patched, and resumed, demonstrating resilience. Subsequently, 425 million CSPR were transferred from Prove AI AG to the Casper Association, strengthening ecosystem funding. In May 2025, Casper 2.0 went live on mainnet, featuring a new consensus protocol (Zug), enhanced smart contract capabilities, and improved developer experience, positioning the network for real-world asset tokenization and enterprise adoption. These events underscore Casper's commitment to security, evolution, and practical blockchain utility.

Mrinal Manohar: Co-founder & CEO. Previously worked at Bain Capital, Sagard Holdings, and Microsoft. Holds an MS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Medha Parlikar: Co-founder & CTO. Former Program Manager at Pyrofex Corp and Senior Director at Avalara.
