Xin Song

Details

Xin is the COO at GSR. He has been in crypto since 2018, and before that was in traditional finance for over 10 years, initially as an Portfolio Manager in the Scientific Active Equities team at BlackRock in London, developing quantitative investment strategies for a $5bn European long-only fund. Xin relocated to Shanghai to become the Head of Product for Fintech startup DealGlobe, subsequently setting up his own crypto derivatives hedge fund Magpie Capital as Co-Founder and CEO, before joining GSR in 2019 to build out the Asia franchise. Xin graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics, and London Business School with an MBA, specializing in Entrepreneurial Management. He is also a CFA charterholder.
