About Verona
Verona, formerly XION, is a verification network built on zero-knowledge proofs that gives AI agents reusable verified facts: income, identity or passport validity checked once at source, then reused by any authorized agent without exposing documents. It addresses where agents stall on real tasks, able to draft a plan but not prove a user qualifies for a mortgage or refill. Proofs bind to sources via zkTLS for web sessions, zkEmail for mail and zkPassport for documents; facts are stored encrypted and re-encrypted in secure enclaves into the answer a recipient needs.
In the ecosystem it is both chain and credential layer: Meta Accounts keep keys and gas out of the user path, and apps call verification through an agent toolkit. Unlike generic DID it emits a conclusion with a proof rather than a queryable attribute set, checked independently by the recipient; unlike an identity oracle, ownership stays with the user. On 17 June 2026 XION became Verona with a 1:1 conversion and a pivot to AI data verification.
Verona (formerly XION) has established several milestones with long-term significance since its mainnet launch. The mainnet went live, marking the transition from testnet to a production network. Subsequently, XION became the first blockchain to store DKIM email authentication keys on-chain and integrated a ZK module at the protocol layer, enabling verifiable email data without exposing sensitive content—a foundational primitive for identity and credential verification. The introduction of Apple ID login and the Dave mobile development kit expanded the walletless abstraction layer, lowering barriers for mainstream users and developers. The token economic model, allocating 15.19% of total supply to community and launch, established the initial incentive structure. The Spark Accelerator Program was launched to foster ecosystem growth. These technical and ecosystem milestones, rather than marketing events, form the core trajectory of Verona's development as an AI intelligence layer.
Rebrand and token: XION became Verona on June 17 with a 1:1 swap, an unchanged 200 million supply and 48-month vesting schedule, repositioning toward an AI data verification layer; Bybit halted XION on June 19 and opened VERONA trading on June 24, while flagship app EarnOS raised about $18.5 million.
Liquidity and price: CoinW announced the delisting of VERONA/USDT on September 4, ended trading on September 10 and supported withdrawals only until October 10; Bybit and Cede Hub ran a 7,000 USDT trading campaign from August 31. The token set an all-time low of $0.0984 on August 16, with 92.68 million of 200 million circulating.
In mid-June 2026, XION rebranded as Verona with a one-to-one token swap to VERONA completed across Bybit, MEXC, Gate, Bitget, HTX, Kraken and Bithumb. The project moved from Web3 abstraction toward an AI intelligence layer for verifiable data, focused on letting agents reuse verified facts without touching the underlying records.
Ecosystem app EarnOS raised about USD 18.5 million and a consumer product called ero was announced. Partnerships with Pulsar and Atbash connected provenance checks and policy enforcement to agent payment flows, while the Truth Engine already supports 150 brands, 3 million users and 69 million verified interactions.
Future strategy and roadmap: After renaming from XION, Verona plans to make verUSD the default asset for AI agent payments and settlement, and by the end of 2026 connect its brand-rewards network with a consumer wallet to form a reusable agent identity and data-asset layer. Its Truth Engine already carries 69 million verifiable interactions across 150-plus brands, and the next step deepens fact verification, policy constraints and audit trails while expanding apps such as EarnOS and ero.
