About Lisk
Lisk officially launched its Ethereum Layer2 mainnet in 2024 and simultaneously announced an airdrop plan, marking a key milestone in the project's migration from its original Layer1 chain to the Ethereum ecosystem, achieving a fundamental upgrade in technical architecture.
Additionally, Lisk established the $15 million Web3 venture capital fund Lisk EMpower Fund, aimed at supporting blockchain innovation projects in emerging markets and providing financial backing for long-term ecosystem development.
Co-founders and core executives:
Max Kordek: Co-founder, CEO (returned as full-time CEO in Dec 2025), previously Managing Director. Founded Lisk in 2016. Also President of Onchain Foundation and founder of Kordek Ventures. Background: dropped out of Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen.
Oliver Beddows: Co-founder, Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Previously CTO (2016-2023) and Strategic Advisor. Also VP at Onchain Foundation. Active on Twitter as @karmacrypto.
