About ZetaChain
ZetaChain, positioned as a full-chain smart contract platform, has gone through several key milestones. In early 2024, its mainnet was attacked due to a vulnerability in the GatewayEVM contract, leading to a $334,000 loss. A white-hat hacker had previously reported the issue but it was ignored. The team promptly suspended cross-chain transactions and deployed a patch, confirming that user funds were unaffected. This incident highlighted the platform's security challenges and response capabilities.
In December 2024, ZetaChain 2.0 officially launched, introducing ANUMA, a privacy-first AI product. ANUMA provides users with an encrypted memory layer, allowing AI models to access only approved data, with usage settled via ZETA tokens. This marked the platform's expansion from cross-chain infrastructure to the AI sector.
Additionally, ZetaChain achieved compliance with the EU's MiCAR requirements and received recognition from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, strengthening its regulatory legitimacy. The release of the new ZetaClient version also improved capital efficiency and user experience, laying the groundwork for future ecosystem development.
Brandon Truong, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) of ZetaChain. He graduated from Stanford University, previously founded social product Yada (acquired in 2020), and held product and engineering roles at Udacity and BuzzFeed.
Jonathan Covey, Core Contributor at ZetaChain, focusing on blockchain interoperability. He served as Director at Talent Tech Labs and worked at ConsenSys, Sony Music, among others. Together, they drive ZetaChain as a universal blockchain enabling cross-chain and cross-model applications.
