About Sei Network
Sei Network has achieved several milestones with long-term significance. Binance became a validator node, strengthening network decentralization. Native USDC and CCTP V2 were launched, enhancing stablecoin infrastructure. Tether's USDT0 was deployed, enabling cross-chain stablecoin flows. Canary registered a SEI ETF in Delaware, signaling institutional adoption. A partnership with Xiaomi brought Web3 apps to smartphones, expanding mainstream reach. Additionally, Sei selected Aethir as its exclusive AI computing provider, broadening use cases beyond trading.
Bullish: In April, Sei completed its migration to a pure EVM chain, simplifying the architecture. In August, v6.6 launched the first Giga components (Ares execution engine and Eidos storage migration), paving the way for the 200,000 TPS target.
Bearish: The migration created risks for assets like USDC.n; TVL fell from a peak of $626M to about $41.6M; the token price is down roughly 96% from its all-time high; monthly unlocks of about 112–132M SEI add selling pressure.
