About QuarkChain
QuarkChain, launched in 2018, initially proposed a sharded multi-layer architecture to address scalability. In 2024, it pivoted to an Ethereum Layer 2, building the 'Super World Computer' on the OP Stack, integrating parallel EVM and EthStorage for on-chain storage, with a testnet live on Sepolia. The project also advanced the web3:// protocol (ERC-4804) for decentralized frontends. Key milestones include the mainnet deployment and phased rollout of the L2, aligning with Ethereum's roadmap. Despite early user metrics being modest, the focus remains on infrastructure and developer adoption, as highlighted by founder Qi Zhou at Devcon 2024.
