Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin announced the latest developments regarding a security incident, stating that the affected assets are currently valued at approximately 36.3 million USD, with 12.9 million USD frozen, and related work is ongoing.
The platform and app remain suspended until safety is confirmed; the company stated that customer assets are secure, and balances are still recorded in their respective accounts. Previously, the exchange mentioned that it had frozen 11 million USD of related assets.
