Tim Garcia, the head of validator relations at the Solana Foundation, tweeted that the Linux kernel vulnerability CVE-2026-98432 has been fixed in the Linux kernel, but Ubuntu has not yet released a patch.
Tim Garcia advised validators running Ubuntu to temporarily block inbound TCP packets containing IPv4 options and to disable multipath TCP and TCP request socket migration.
