About Neony
Neony is a perpetuals exchange running on its own Layer 1; users bridge in through Solana and handle spot, perpetuals and lending from a single account, with crypto, equities and FX as underlying markets.
Matching and liquidation are handled by a protocol-run market-making vault that supplies counterparty liquidity to the order book and absorbs liquidated positions, with depositors sharing market-making and liquidation proceeds by vault share. Margin is cross-collateralised: spot holdings, vault shares and lending positions all count as collateral, cutting transfers and forced swaps. Fees are rebated by volume tier, starting at 5% and stepping up, and every on-chain action accrues points. On-chain deposits total roughly USD 400,000, and the rule set is built on the premise of no insider allocation and one parameter set for all users, the positioning of a community-oriented perp DEX. Owning the chain puts matching, clearing and fee logic in the protocol layer, which keeps cost and latency predictable under load.

Neony Exchange made the decision to close its platform within the past six months. The announcement on July 20 shows that the project team chose to sunset its perpetual DEX application after careful consideration. Users can withdraw their funds before September 1, with all open trades to be settled and the market to be closed. This decision was made after the platform experienced trading promotions and user interactions, indicating a shift from operation to exit.
On-chain data indicates that Neony Exchange's TVL is only 27 dollars, and the total revenue in the past month is also 27 dollars. This reflects that the platform's activity level on the Solana chain is low. Despite its community-first positioning and multi-functional support, it failed to maintain sufficient participation, ultimately leading to the closure decision. This situation illustrates the challenges faced by the project and its final choice.
