According to Jin Shi reports, Federal Reserve's Bostic announced that he plans to retire when his current term ends in February next year. Bostic has served as the president of the Atlanta Fed since 2017 and is the first African American to lead a regional Federal Reserve Bank. He has been focused on inflation risks this year, urging his colleagues to be cautious when lowering interest rates and to be wary of the potential impacts of tariffs. Although he did not vote on monetary policy decisions, he supported the Fed's rate cuts in September and October.
