Ghana's central bank: Will complete cryptocurrency regulatory legislation by the end of the year

ChainCatcher news, Ghana's central bank governor Johnson Asiama stated at the IMF meeting that the country's cryptocurrency regulatory bill has been submitted to parliament and is expected to be legislated by the end of the year, allowing Ghana to officially regulate crypto assets.
Asiama pointed out that the central bank released a regulatory draft as early as August 2024, and currently about 3 million people (nearly 9% of the population) in the country are using cryptocurrencies.
