ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Argentine Ethereum developer "Fede's intern" was briefly detained by police upon entering Turkey, but has since been released and returned to Europe. He stated that the incident stemmed from a case brought against him by Turkey's Interior Minister, accusing him of assisting others in abusing Ethereum, allegedly related to a certain privacy protocol.

The developer claimed that his trip was to promote DeFi projects and wine export cooperation. He emphasized that the team's previous research on Tornado Cash only involved de-anonymization analysis and had never engaged in illegal activities.

Fede's intern stated that he decided to donate $500,000 to the legal defense of Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm. The Ethereum Foundation had previously pledged to provide legal support to Storm in the same amount.
