Cardano founder: Midnight will airdrop tokens to 37 million users across 8 blockchains

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, at the Consensus 2025 conference held in Toronto, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced the details of the Glacier Drop airdrop plan for the privacy sidechain Midnight.

The project will airdrop NIGHT governance tokens and DUST privacy transaction tokens to approximately 37 million users across 8 major blockchains, exclusively targeting retail users, with no allocations reserved for venture capital firms. The project is currently in the testnet phase and is expected to launch the mainnet by the end of 2025.
