About Kled AI
Kled AI operates a data marketplace where individuals upload personal photos, videos, and documents, which are then anonymized, quality-filtered, and packaged into structured datasets for sale to AI companies for model training. Contributors receive direct payment.
The core pain point it addresses is the exhaustion of freely scraped internet data and the growing legal pressure (GDPR, HIPAA, EU AI Act) on AI firms to use rights-cleared, consent-based training data. Kled's competitive edge lies in building a direct "consumer-to-AI company" channel, bypassing traditional enterprise annotation supply chains. It uses task-based collection (e.g., filming specific household actions for robot training) to ensure data structure and quality upfront, and maintains audit trails (content hashes, licensing records) for verifiable provenance.
In the past six months (March–September 2026), Kled surpassed 500,000 users, reached 10 million weekly social views, and launched Android pre-registration. Daily uploads hit 3–4.5 million files, with over 12,000 structured datasets created. The platform also secured an $8 million request for anonymized financial data and began a $1 million token buyback.
Negative developments within two years: most users earn only a few cents to tens of cents per upload, with the top earner at ~$7,400/month — far below promotional hype. Additionally, its July 2026 terms grant Kled a global, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, and exclusive license to uploaded content for AI/ML development, raising significant privacy concerns despite stated anonymization efforts.
Kled AI, positioned as the AI data marketplace in the Solana ecosystem, completed a $5.5 million seed round with participation from K5 Global and others.
The platform later secured a $3 million investment from The Data Foundation.
