About ARPA

ARPA is a decentralized secure computation network that provides verifiable random number generation (RNG) services to blockchain applications. Its core technology is threshold signature schemes (TSS), which allow multiple nodes to jointly generate randomness without any single party controlling the result.

The main market pain point ARPA addresses is the lack of trust in on-chain randomness. Many blockchain applications, such as lotteries, gaming, and NFT minting, require unpredictable and tamper-proof random numbers. Traditional solutions often rely on a single source, which can be manipulated. ARPA solves this by distributing the generation process across multiple independent nodes, making it cryptographically secure and verifiable on-chain.

In the past six months (February to August 2026), ARPA has focused on expanding its RNG service to more blockchain ecosystems and improving the efficiency of its threshold signature protocol. The team has also been working on reducing latency and transaction costs for users. However, the project has faced some criticism regarding the centralization of its node operators, as the number of active nodes remains relatively limited compared to larger networks. Additionally, the token price has experienced volatility, reflecting broader market conditions rather than project-specific developments.
