About Amnis Finance

Amnis Finance is a liquid staking protocol on the Aptos blockchain. Its core business allows users to stake APT tokens and receive amAPT, a liquid staking derivative that remains usable across DeFi applications. Users can further stake amAPT to obtain stAPT, which represents accumulated staking rewards.

The main problem Amnis solves is the liquidity lock-up inherent in traditional staking. By tokenizing staked positions, users can earn staking yields while retaining the flexibility to trade, lend, or provide liquidity. Its competitive edge lies in yield tokenization: stAPT is split into principal and yield components, giving users granular control over their assets.

Over the past six months (March to September 2026), Amnis has solidified its position as the largest protocol on Aptos by total value locked, surpassing $280 million. It launched the Movementum accelerator program, attracting over 200 project applications, signaling strong ecosystem growth. The protocol has maintained a stable amAPT-APT peg and continues to offer competitive staking rewards.

Potential risks include derivative de-pegging under market stress and fluctuating reward rates, though no major incidents have been reported in the reviewed period.
