About StakeStone
StakeStone is an omnichain liquidity infrastructure protocol that lets users deposit ETH or BTC and receive yield-bearing tokens like STONE and SBTC. These tokens accrue staking rewards while remaining usable across multiple blockchains via LayerZero's OFT standard, eliminating the need for wrapped assets or manual bridging.
The core problem it solves is liquidity fragmentation across chains. Users typically face scattered assets, isolated yield opportunities, and cumbersome cross-chain operations. StakeStone unifies staking yield and cross-chain liquidity into one framework: assets are managed through non-custodial strategy pools, allocated to staking and restaking opportunities, and can move freely across networks without sacrificing yield. Its LiquidityPad further allows emerging chains to bootstrap liquidity by hosting custom vaults, with notable deployments including Plume, Story Protocol, and World Liberty Financial.
In the past six months (March–September 2026), StakeStone launched Stone Wallet with QR payment and PayNow integration in Singapore, introduced STONEUSD (a yield-bearing stablecoin targeting ~12% APY), and expanded LiquidityPad partnerships. However, the STO token has faced significant headwinds: it is down roughly 95% from its all-time high, with only ~22.5% of the total supply circulating.
