About Saga
Saga, from Saga AI Labs, builds AI characters and digital personas: agents trained on a fixed persona for games and consumer brands, kept interacting with users across social platforms to drive conversion. It targets high customer acquisition costs, static IP that cannot sustain engagement, and human support that does not scale.
The mechanism trains persona agents on IP settings and corpus data, keeps voice and memory consistent across platforms, and charges subscription plus a share of sales. The business launched in June 2026 while the original blockchain operations were handed to a third party, so it is not the same thing as the chain of the same name. Results depend on persona consistency and platform policy — if social platforms restrict automated accounts, distribution is cut off outright.
Key milestones in Saga's development include Mainnet 2.0 launch, enabling Uniswap v3 deployment and laying groundwork for the Liquidity Integration Layer. The cross-chain AI agent protocol Metropolis, built with Virtuals, Eliza Labs, and Wayfinder, marked a strategic move into AI-driven chainlets. A significant security event occurred when SagaEVM was paused after a $7 million attack, with subsequent investigation and patching of affected components. Additionally, the SG-1 account key leak was disclosed, though no funds were affected and a new validator node came online. These events highlight both technical progress and resilience in security.
Unlocks and dilution: About 16.67 million SAGA unlocked on October 9 for private investors and insiders, roughly 3% of market cap at the time, with further monthly releases scheduled; supply is uncapped and about 416.5 million tokens are circulating.
Price and fundamentals: The token traded near $0.023 in October, down about 99% from its $7.60 all-time high, with a market cap below $10 million; it briefly reached $0.074 in late September before sliding back, and there is no buyback or burn mechanism and no major partnership disclosed in the past six months.
On June 1, 2026, Saga launched Saga AI Labs while handing blockchain network operations to Alapin Holdings, part of the dao5 ecosystem. Earlier, the SagaEVM chainlet suffered a major exploit in January 2026; the company began a 60-day sunset on September 24 and will permanently shut down that chainlet on November 23, with the mainnet unaffected.
Saga AI Labs has partnered with Etermax, GFAL and BONOXS to deploy AI characters into games and social scenarios.
