About Pharos
Pharos Network's development journey includes several milestones with long-term significance. In early 2024, the project completed an $8 million seed round led by Lightspeed Faction and Hack VC, establishing its initial financial foundation. Subsequently, Pharos open-sourced DTVM, a blockchain virtual machine developed in collaboration with Ant Chain, marking a technical milestone in its infrastructure evolution. In 2025, Pharos secured $44 million in Series A funding with participation from SNZ Holding, bringing cumulative financing to $52 million. The company also launched a $10 million RealFi incubation program supported by Hack VC, signaling its strategic focus on real-world asset tokenization. A notable product milestone was the launch of Axil Prime credit vault, which opened institutional-grade private lending strategies to on-chain depositors. However, the project also faced scrutiny when a media investigation questioned its $950 million valuation, alleging that the valuation was propped up by solar assets and involved shell transactions with layered betting mechanisms. This controversy highlighted the risks and complexities in the RWA-focused Layer 1 sector, serving as a cautionary tale for the industry.
Positive factors over the past six months: In April 2026, Pharos completed a $44M Series A, bringing cumulative funding to $52M to accelerate RWA infrastructure. In June, it launched an AI Agent Carnival with a 150,000 PROS prize pool. In July, it launched the Axil Prime Credit Vault offering institutional private credit with a target APY of 14.3% and a 100M USDC cap. Also in July, mainnet upgrade was supported by HTX, with trading unaffected. No significant negative factors.
