Alex Zhang is the Chief Scientist and Cofounder to Pharos. Prior to that, Alex was the CEO of ZAN, a Web3 technology company within the Ant Financial Services Group, and held leadership roles as CTO of Ant Financial Services Group Digital Technology and Head of Blockchain Lab at Alibaba's Dharmo Academy.He also founded the Systems Research Division at NEC America Labs, where he focused on high-performance distributed systems and P2P networking algorithms.Alex holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and is actively involved in developing industry standards as the Vice Chair of the IEEE Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Standards Committee.
