About Orbs
Orbs is an Israeli execution layer that runs as an independent PoS network providing off-chain computation and order execution to host chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon. Validators form a committee that takes turns executing tasks by stake weight and signs results, and contracts on the host chain verify the signatures before accepting state updates. This lets protocols add limit orders, stop-losses and perpetual futures matching without changing the underlying chain.
Products include Perpetual Hub, which supplies oracle, liquidation and risk logic for DEX perpetuals, the dSLTP stop-loss and take-profit tool, and Orbs VM for multi-chain logic, with front ends such as QuickSwap and SushiSwap plugging the order types into their own interfaces. Compared with Perp DEXs that build their own matching engine, it ships execution modules that several venues can reuse, while liquidity still comes from each host protocol's pools. In June 2026 the V5 execution upgrade went live on Ethereum and Arbitrum, with committee sync improving cross-chain task consistency.
Governance: On August 6 OIP-9 passed with 351.97 million ORBS in favor and zero against, formally establishing the Orbs DAO; on September 10 Ran Hammer was appointed CEO.
Milestones: On June 2 the V5 execution-layer upgrade (Committee Sync) went live on Ethereum and Arbitrum; in July QuickSwap adopted Perpetual Hub Ultra 2.0 and SushiSwap integrated dSLTP; 1.1 billion ORBS is now staked on the network.
On June 2, 2026, Orbs completed its V5 mainnet upgrade (Committee Sync). On July 6, Perpetual Hub Ultra 2.0 went live. DAO governance launched on April 16 (OIP-9, about 351.97 million ORBS voted). On September 10, Ran Hammer became CEO.
Future strategy and roadmap: Orbs will keep iterating its L3 infrastructure and perps product, deepen integration with Ethereum, BNB Chain and Avalanche, and drive protocol expansion under DAO governance.
