China plans to introduce safety supervision standards covering the entire lifecycle of AI

Nov 3, 2026 14:30:25

According to Bloomberg, Wang Ruomeng, an official from China's National Development and Reform Commission, stated on Tuesday that China is accelerating the legislation of artificial intelligence, implementing full lifecycle supervision on the development and application of AI, covering aspects such as data and computing power.

This set of standards aims to prevent the risks of increasingly powerful AI losing control and is considered one of the more comprehensive AI safety guidelines currently available. Regulation will involve major developers such as DeepSeek, Dark Side of the Moon, and Alibaba, which are pushing to create products that can compete with the top models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
