Robin Guards: Collaborated with 200 KOLs, only sold 200 NFTs

Nov 3, 2026 10:28:34

The NFT project Robin Guards published a lengthy article titled "How Crypto Twitter KOLs Scam Projects (With Proof)" on November 2. The project claims to have collaborated with approximately 200 KOLs, totaling over 10 million followers, but ultimately sold only 200 NFTs, resulting in a conversion rate of about 0.002%. The project stated that after refusing to continue paying for related promotions, the same group of people began to label it as a scam, naming several KOLs they had previously collaborated with in the article and demanding explanations for behaviors such as purchasing fake interactions, posting in interaction groups, and disguising influence.

Robin Guards stated that these KOLs initially posted positive promotions and called on their followers to participate; however, upon learning about bot posts, interaction group boosts, similar AI replies, and the sudden appearance of a large number of views without payment, they turned around and labeled the project as a scam. The project also mentioned that the account grebby began accusing it of fraud the day before, while that account itself sells fake followers and fake interaction services, and some of the named KOLs had purchased so-called smart followers and fake interactions from it. The project stated that it has attached screenshots in the article and claimed to have been in this field for 2 years, also being part of similar interaction groups.

In the article, Robin Guards mentioned that these types of accounts are concerned with about $50 in rewards for each post, and real influence does not need to be purchased. The project suggested that other teams check the reach-to-view ratio, whether reply accounts are duplicated, and request actual conversion results from past activities, rather than just screenshots of views. The Robin Guards account had previously described itself as the privacy layer of Robinhood Chain, but its current profile states that it is a project that encountered fake KOLs on Crypto Twitter.
