Trump says he may restore the "Freedom Plan" operation

According to Xinhua News Agency, U.S. President Trump stated to the media at the White House on the 8th that the United States may resume the "Freedom Plan" operation aimed at guiding stranded vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and expects to receive a response from Iran regarding the U.S. proposed U.S.-Iran agreement that evening.

Trump said he believes the "Freedom Plan" is a good idea, but "there are other solutions." If there is no progress, the U.S. may restart the "Freedom Plan." However, "it will be an 'upgraded version of the Freedom Plan,' meaning that additional measures will be added on top of the original plan."
