NFT Paris was reported to cancel the event but will not refund the sponsors' fees, with the amount involved possibly exceeding 500,000 euros

The Funkari team member Neks posted, "NFT Paris has announced the cancellation of the 2026 NFT Paris and RWA Paris events, which have been held since 2022. The reason is that funds have run out, and the organizational costs exceed the sponsorship and ticket revenue. Ticket buyers are promised a refund within two weeks.

Below the announcement, sponsor @serc1n shared an email received: 'According to Article 12 of our agreement, the non-refundable expenses related to the event exceed the total sponsorship fees received, so we cannot provide a refund.' Another sponsor, Okay Bears founder Kais, also confirmed receiving the same information.

Sponsors pay for exposure opportunities at the event. Most of the purposes are to achieve profitability, sell products, acquire users, or enhance brand awareness. Now that the event is canceled, the sponsorship fees are gone. NFT Paris listed 61 sponsors for 2026. It is estimated that sponsors paid a total of over 500,000 euros. One more detail: it is said that the core team that has been operating NFT Paris for three years left shortly before this happened. If true, this is purely criminal behavior."
