Recently, Swedish payment giant Klarna officially announced the early launch of its first stablecoin, KlarnaUSD, on the Tempo blockchain supported by Paradigm and Stripe, which was originally scheduled to go live in 2026.
According to its statement, the annual transaction volume of the stablecoin has reached $27 trillion, and Klarna will provide faster and cheaper cross-border payments for 114 million customers. The time for large-scale adoption of cryptocurrency is now, and this is just the beginning. It is reported that Klarna's annual GMV exceeds $118 billion; previously, its Q3 financial report showed that the quarterly performance reached a historic high since the company's IPO, with quarterly revenue soaring to $903 million and GMV growing by 23%, while revenue in the U.S. region increased by 51%.
