The Belarusian authorities have established and are updating a dedicated register for recording cryptocurrency wallets involved in criminal proceeds. This database is part of a comprehensive mechanism for the seizure of illegal digital funds introduced in anticipation of the upcoming FATF assessment.

Vasily Gerasimov, Chairman of the State Control Committee (SCC), pointed out at the Eurasian Group (EAG) plenary meeting that regulators are introducing new financial investigation mechanisms to quickly detect the flow of criminal funds. In addition, regulations concerning cryptocurrency transaction taxation and ensuring transparency in the digital asset sector have also been passed.
