ChainCatcher news, according to 4E observations, the U.S. stock market on Monday showed signs of institutions increasing their investments in crypto-related stocks. Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, purchased approximately $30.9 million worth of Block Inc. (SQ) stock through three ETFs, with ARKK buying 210,000 shares, and ARKW and ARKF purchasing 59,000 shares and 114,000 shares respectively. Block's stock price closed up 0.77% on that day, at $80.15. The stock has risen over 37% in the past six months, indicating a growing interest from traditional institutions in the crypto payment sector.
On the other hand, BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF IBIT has surpassed $70 billion in assets, reaching this milestone in just 341 days, making it one of the fastest-growing ETFs in history, showing that institutional funds are steadily flowing into the Bitcoin spot market.
The ETF sector is also welcoming a new round of concentrated product listings. Canary Capital announced that its Litecoin ETF and HBAR ETF will be listed on Nasdaq on Tuesday; Grayscale's Solana Trust ETF is expected to launch on Wednesday, while Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF will debut on the New York Stock Exchange.
In addition, Ethereum financial company ETHZilla sold approximately $40 million in ETH to advance a stock buyback plan of up to $250 million. Since October 24, the company has invested about $12 million to repurchase 600,000 shares, with management stating that they will continue to sell ETH to narrow the discount between the stock price and net asset value. ETHZ currently holds approximately $400 million worth of ETH assets.
On the macro front, U.S. President Trump stated that he will nominate a successor to Federal Reserve Chairman Powell by the end of the year, with five candidates making the final list, including former Fed governor Kevin Warsh and BlackRock executive Rick Rieder.
4E reminds investors: institutions and crypto ETFs are expanding simultaneously, leading to increased structural differentiation in the market. In the short term, pay attention to the pace of ETF subscriptions and changes in institutional holdings and their marginal impact on the liquidity of crypto assets.
