The office is dedicated to coordinating collaboration between the cryptocurrency industry and the government, working with federal and state governments to advance policies that attract compliant and value-creating blockchain and cryptocurrency projects. Adams has been supportive of cryptocurrency during his tenure, having received his salary in Bitcoin and hosted a cryptocurrency summit, but his term will end at the end of the year, and last month he announced his withdrawal from the race due to campaign finance issues.
