ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Ethereum developers have unveiled a new roadmap called Kohaku, aimed at enhancing wallet privacy and security through a modular framework.
The project was announced by Ethereum Foundation coordinator Nicolas Consigny in a blog post, planning to build a set of foundational components for privacy and security. The core of Kohaku is to create a software development kit (SDK) and a reference wallet to demonstrate the practical effects of the tools. The first version will be presented as a browser extension based on the Ambire wallet, targeting advanced users. Kohaku is collaborating with well-known teams such as Ambire and Railgun, and it is an open-source project, allowing developers to contribute code via GitHub. Its main goal is to reduce the wallet's reliance on centralized services for traceable transactions, including features for private sending and receiving, and it also plans to utilize tools to increase social recovery options. In the long run, the team is committed to enhancing wallet security at the device level and creating a native Ethereum browser to ensure secure user interactions.
