The Solana Foundation launches the "Cypherpunk Hackathon," with a total prize pool of over $500,000

ChainCatcher news, the Solana Foundation announced the launch of the 12th "Cypherpunk" hackathon online competition on the Colosseum platform. This event will run until October 30, with participants competing for a total prize pool of over $500,000, $250,000 in early investment, and a 1:1 incubation qualification in the Colosseum accelerator. The competition will focus on six major areas: DeFi hosted by Arcium, RWA hosted by Forward Industries, consumer applications hosted by Raydium, stablecoins hosted by Reflect, infrastructure hosted by Triton, and an open track hosted by the Solana Foundation. The best projects will receive a total championship prize of $30,000 awarded by Phantom. Additionally, three special awards will be given for the best public welfare project, best campus project, and Solana mobile application project.
According to incomplete statistics, over the past four years, more than 80,000 developers have participated in Solana hackathons, resulting in the incubation of over 6,500 projects and a total funding scale exceeding $700 million. Representative projects include Jito, Drift, Kamino, Tensor, io.net, Marinade, Solend, and more.
