ChainCatcher news, according to TheHill, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick stated that Trump may forgive Musk, but will not forget the negative impact caused by Musk's departure from the government. Musk was one of the closest allies to the president during the Trump administration.

Lutnick said, "I think Musk is that kind of person; he really earned the president's friendship and respect, but when he left, he showed a very negative side of himself. And I don't think the president will forget that negativity. Trump will maintain a friendly attitude towards Musk in the future, will act friendly and kind, because he is indeed very affable, but do I think he will forget? I don't think so."
