The Hong Kong police received a case of ETH investment fraud, with the victim's loss amounting to HKD 26.2 million

ChainCatcher news, according to Hong Kong media East Net, the Hong Kong police received a report from a 75-year-old local man, stating that he had earlier received a call from someone claiming to be a virtual currency investment expert, who persuaded the victim to invest in the virtual currency ETH with promises of high returns. The victim subsequently followed the instructions and transferred a total of approximately HKD 26.2 million worth of virtual currency into 6 accounts in 19 transactions between July 11 and September 9.

The Hong Kong police stated that the case has been classified as obtaining property by deception and has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team 9 of the Wan Chai Police District for follow-up, with no arrests made yet.
