Senators including Warren question whether Binance has fulfilled the compliance agreement of 2023

ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and others have written to the Department of Justice, requesting confirmation of whether the cryptocurrency exchange Binance is complying with the settlement agreement regarding anti-money laundering and sanctions violations reached with the U.S. side.

The letter pointed out that the Department of Justice had previously only confirmed that Binance had paid all fines, but did not specify whether it had fulfilled its ongoing compliance obligations. The lawmakers also expressed concern about the Department of Justice considering the removal of compliance monitors and the connections between Binance and businesses related to the Trump family.
