About Bounce Finance
Bounce Finance is an on-chain auction and launchpad protocol started in 2020 and deployed across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and other chains for project teams and retail users. It addresses the lack of transparent, fair distribution for token and NFT issuance by matching supply and demand through Dutch, fixed-price and sealed-bid auction mechanisms, with a custody architecture that locks collateral and funds on-chain until settlement. Its Bounce Predict turns auction hammer prices into prediction markets resolved via oracle, and beyond issuance Bounce packages its auction engine as composable modules that other protocols can embed into their own fundraising and trading flows.
In July 2026 Bounce deployed its on-chain auction infrastructure to Robinhood Chain, letting retail users directly join token sales and NFT auctions; its on-chain usage and fee revenue remain thin and token value capture is limited.
In September 2020, Jack Lu and Ryan Fang founded Bounce Finance as an "auction-as-a-service" platform covering tokens, NFTs, ad space and physical collectibles.
In 2021, Bounce raised strategic funding led by Coinbase Ventures and listed AUCTION on major exchanges, but interest faded in the bear market and the platform slipped from view.
In December 2023, Bounce pivoted to Bitcoin, unveiling BounceBit, Bounce Auction and Bounce Box. IDOs such as MUBI and BSSB surged, and AUCTION rose about sevenfold in three months.
In 2024, BounceBit spun out and launched its own mainnet, while Bounce Finance continued as a launchpad and auction house. In 2025 it moved into RWA auctions for Moutai liquor and Qing-dynasty antiques.
In March 2026, Bounce launched Bounce Predict, turning Sotheby's hammer prices into prediction markets and trying to use auction liquidity to support a new trading venue.
On July 21, 2026, Bounce Brand deployed its on-chain auction infrastructure to Robinhood Chain (Robinhood's Ethereum L2), giving Robinhood's retail users direct access to on-chain token sales and NFT auctions and broadening the potential user base.
Between August 6 and 10, 2026, Bounce launched USDT prediction markets for a Sotheby's jewelry auction; on September 21, prediction markets for a Sotheby's contemporary art auction went live on Bounce Predict. The official 2026 roadmap also includes expanding Bounce Predict, curating high-quality IDOs, growing RWA auctions and exploring tokenized pre-IPO stocks.
No token buyback-and-burn or fee-switch disclosures were found; on-chain protocol usage and fee revenue remain weak, token value capture is limited, and the actual price impact of the new features remains to be seen.
On March 20, 2026 Bounce Predict launched, letting users stake USDT on the hammer price of real auctions; a further market ran from August 6 to 10 around a Sotheby's jewellery sale, paying the pool to correct predictions and refunding stakes if everyone was wrong. In the same period Bounce Brand deployed its on-chain auction infrastructure on Robinhood Chain, supporting English and sealed-bid formats plus token sales and NFT auctions.
Auctions and the launchpad remain the revenue base, with Bounce Premium shifting toward curating stronger IDOs and reserving allocations for AUCTION stakers; on July 31 the team publicly stressed that the infrastructure can run through different market cycles, and in August it published several guides on taking part in auctions. AUCTION traded near $3.32 in August on thin liquidity, still moving with the wider market.
Bounce Finance's Future strategy and roadmap: The 2026 focus is wiring real-world assets, auctions and decentralized market mechanisms into one product family: Bounce Art keeps running physical auctions for art and watches, Bounce Predict turns hammer-price guessing on real auctions into a regular category and signs more auction houses, and the English and sealed-bid auctions on Robinhood Chain are meant to capture its retail funnel. The team is also assessing newer narratives such as tokenized pre-IPO stock and firming up launchpad allocations reserved for AUCTION stakers.
Jack Lu is co-founder and chief executive. He holds an economics degree from Reed College and previously worked on the investment team at NGC Ventures. He founded this project in June 2020 and has led it as chief executive, later founding BounceBit in 2024.
Ryan Fang is a co-founder from a crypto investing and entrepreneurship background, involved in early strategy and architecture design and helping build the auction-as-a-service framework.
Chandler Song is a co-founder who was a software engineer at Amazon in 2017 and went on to found the node infrastructure project Ankr, then founding PeroNova for perovskite solar cells in 2023. Earlier on he worked on Bounce's mechanisms and community.
Kain Warwick is a management team member and adviser. The Synthetix founder brings deep DeFi lending mechanism design experience and advises the team on mechanism choices.
The founding team is weighted toward investing and engineering, with Warwick handling part of the mechanism design review.
