About Orange DAO
Orange DAO is a DAO founded by crypto founders who graduated from Y Combinator, aimed at supporting early-stage Web3 startups. Its core business is the Fellowship program, a 12-week accelerator that provides selected founders with funding of $100,000 to $300,000, along with mentorship from experienced builders and access to a broad network of crypto entrepreneurs.
The main problem it solves is the difficulty early-stage crypto founders face in accessing both capital and high-quality guidance. Many founders have technical ideas but lack operational experience or connections within the ecosystem. Orange DAO addresses this by leveraging its community of YC alumni to offer practical advice, peer support, and warm introductions to partners, service providers, and potential hires.
Its competitive edge lies in the density of its founder network. Because members have gone through YC themselves, they understand the specific challenges of building a company from zero and can offer hands-on, battle-tested input. The DAO structure also allows members to collectively source deals and share resources, creating a flywheel effect that benefits all portfolio companies.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Orange DAO has been focused on recruiting and onboarding the Winter 2025 cohort, with public calls for applications and promotion of its fellowship on social media. Beyond that, no major product launches or structural changes have been publicly announced. No significant negative events were reported during this period, though information on internal operations remains limited.
