About Xertra
Xertra, formerly Stratis, launched in 2016 and uses STRAX as its native token under proof-of-stake consensus with a masternode tier. The masternode staking protocol went live on mainnet in May 2025, giving STRAX holders a liquid staking route through masternodes; with Stratis 2.0 the chain moved to full EVM compatibility so Solidity contracts and Ethereum tooling port over directly, while keeping its C# and .NET developer stack and sidechain design, with STRAX used there for fees, masternode staking and governance voting.
Its ecosystem leans toward gaming and infrastructure: Verium supplies zero-knowledge-proof layer 2 scaling, ChainPort handles cross-chain asset transfers, StraxSwap covers on-chain exchange and SolPlex is an on-chain real-time strategy game. In March 2026 the team shipped the first NFT collection on Xertraverse, K1 Vanguard, launched Xertra Play with free daily plays and extra plays bought by burning 1 STRAX, and released Xertra Deploy for guided deployment of dedicated chains. Compass, an entry point combining AI guidance, gamified learning and gasless onboarding in one interface, went live on 18 June 2026.
Stratis was founded in 2016, launching a Bitcoin-core-based Layer 1 blockchain with C# smart contract support, laying the technical foundation for the ecosystem. In September 2024, Verium was released, using zkSync zero-knowledge proof technology to build an elastic blockchain with improved scalability and modularity. In January 2025, the liquid staking protocol went live on mainnet; in May, the masternode staking protocol was activated, enabling liquid staking for STRAX holders. In October 2025, Stratis was renamed Xertra, sharpening its focus on DeFi and gaming while unifying brand and product lines. From March 2026 onward, Xertraverse digital collectibles, Xertra Play on-chain gaming, and Xertra Deploy one-click chain deployment went live, forming a complete ecosystem spanning digital ownership, gaming, and Rollup infrastructure—marking milestones with long-term significance.
Setbacks: On June 9 STRAX hit an all-time low of $0.007935, with market cap near $21M mid-year and a decline of about 79% over one year; the official website and block explorer intermittently returned 403 errors, and the announced StratisEVM migration and token swap remained incomplete as of mid-year, leaving operational status in doubt.
Trading anomaly: On September 13, with no official news, 24-hour volume spiked 180% to $4.1M and the price rose about 10% to the $0.0098-0.011 range; roughly 48% of trading volume comes from Korean venues such as Upbit.
Xertra has shipped three product lines on a weekly cadence since March 11, 2026: the native NFT marketplace Xertraverse went live on March 11 with the Solplex collection and permanently burns all proceeds; the gaming hub Xertra Play followed on March 18, burning 1 STRAX per play; and Xertra Deploy launched on March 25, letting users launch zkSync Era rollups that settle to Xertra L1 through a guided wizard. Compass, an onboarding product combining AI guidance, gamified education, gasless sign-up and safety tools, launched on June 18.
Future strategy and roadmap: The roadmap keeps the Wednesday release schedule, expands Xertraverse minting and royalty features, grows Xertra Play into a third-party game aggregation layer, and adds more rollup configuration and network visibility to Xertra Deploy.
