About useless coin

Useless Coin (USELESS) is a satirical meme token on Solana, launched in May 2025 via LetsBONK.fun. Its official website explicitly states "No DeFi, no NFTs, no staking" and features a 47-page parody whitepaper titled "Roadmap to Nowhere." The project's core identity is radical honesty: it promises zero utility and delivers exactly that, mocking the crypto industry's obsession with fake use cases.

The market pain point it addresses is the widespread practice of projects overpromising utilities that never materialize. USELESS flips this by openly admitting its worthlessness, turning irony itself into cultural value. It has no staking, governance, or protocol revenue—price is driven purely by community sentiment and meme culture.

In the past six months (2026-03-12 to 2026-09-12): The token experienced extreme volatility—dropping 91% from its October 2025 all-time high to a low of $0.0385 in early August 2026, then surging 627% within a month. On September 8, 2026, it was listed simultaneously on South Korea's top exchanges Bithumb (KRW market) and Upbit (BTC/USDT markets), with prices ranging $0.233–$0.294 across sources. Weekly price swings reached 3.16x, and derivatives volume ($692M) was about 23x spot volume ($30M). Notably, Upbit delisted BONK on September 7, 2026, and listed USELESS the next day—a token whose contract address ends in "bonk."

Negative aspects: At least six tokens share the "Useless" name; the BNB Chain version (2021) is dead, and several pump.fun copies claim to be official. Safety parameters like freeze authority and liquidity pool burns lack reliable public verification. The token's 24h trading volume is 414–419x its order book depth on some exchanges, indicating thin liquidity and high slippage risk.

Updated: Sep 12, 2026

USELESS emerged as a meme coin with key milestones including a 596.9% surge after Bitget Onchain listing. OKX introduced its perpetual contracts, followed by Binance launching USELESS/USDT perpetuals and Coinbase preparing to list the token. These major exchange integrations marked its shift toward broader market recognition. The token later hit an all-time high, with the largest holder seeing over 7.5 million dollars in unrealized profits, underscoring sustained momentum and adoption potential.
