About Pixels
Pixels is a Web3 farming and exploration game built on the Ronin network. Players manage crops, gather resources, complete social tasks, and own in-game assets like land and pets as NFTs. The core loop is simple and mobile-friendly, lowering the barrier for mainstream users who are unfamiliar with crypto wallets.
Its key strength lies in an "experience-first" approach. Unlike many blockchain games that over-emphasize token rewards, Pixels focuses on engaging gameplay and community interaction. This has led to a reported 75% user retention rate, well above the industry average of 40%. The game also avoids excessive token issuance by using in-game utility items for daily rewards and reserving the PIXEL token for rare purchases, reducing price volatility.
The main pain point it addresses is the "experience gap" in Web3 gaming: traditional play-to-earn models often attract profit-driven users who leave once the economy weakens. Pixels solves this by building a sustainable ecosystem around fun, social features, and transparent economic reporting.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Pixels launched its staking system, with over 73 million PIXEL staked across three games. Third-party titles like Forgotten Runiverse joined the ecosystem, and Pixel Dungeons distributed over 300,000 PIXEL to stakers. The upcoming $vPIXEL token, backed 1:1 by PIXEL, aims to enable fee-free transactions across partner games. PvP and guild systems were announced for a major update. However, challenges remain: content update frequency is lower than competitors, and the player base skews heavily toward social users (55%) rather than competitive ones (20%), which could affect resource liquidity.
