About Fiamma
Fiamma is a ZKP verification network built on Bitcoin and Cosmos SDK, providing a universal verification layer for zero-knowledge proofs across various blockchain environments.
Its core business is BitVM2-powered on-chain ZKP verification, enabling trust-minimized proof checks on Bitcoin without requiring soft forks. The Fiamma Bridge facilitates cross-chain asset transfers between Bitcoin and other chains, while the network supports multiple proof systems including Groth16, Fflonk, and STARK.
Fiamma addresses key market pain points: high on-chain verification costs (reduced by over 99%), slow verification latency (from hours to seconds), limited compatibility with non-Snark-friendly algorithms, and centralized verification processes. Its three-tier security model combines Bitcoin's cryptoeconomic security via Babylon, objective PoS nodes, and intersubjective verification by user-operated mobile nodes, eliminating single points of failure.
In the past six months (2026-03 to 2026-09), Fiamma launched its mainnet, integrated BitVM2 fraud proofs, and released Fiamma Bridge v0.2.0 enabling permissionless PEG-OUT for any amount. The network also deployed zkBitcoin v2 for BTC L2s and expanded support for multiple ZK proof systems. However, the operator role remains restricted, and forced PEG-IN functionality is still under development.
Fiamma, a Bitcoin ZK infrastructure company, closed a $4M seed round in December 2024 led by Lightspeed Faction and L2IV, marking the first full implementation of BitVM2 and the smallest ZK verifiers in Bitcoin script. In Q1 2025, after stress-testing the Alpha Testnet, Fiamma resolved verification costs, flow, and incentive issues, becoming the first production-ready BitVM2 infrastructure. In Q3 2025, Fiamma Bridge launched on mainnet, enabling non-custodial BTC bridging to over 20 chains, with audits by Oppenzeppline and Bitslab. In Q4 2025, the Fire App was released, integrating bridging, yield, lending, and trading in a non-custodial setup. These milestones transform Bitcoin from a passive asset into a programmable one, establishing a trust-minimized cross-chain and DeFi foundation with long-term significance.
Fiamma is a ZKP verification network founded by Cyimon (CTO) and Yovela Luo (CEO).
Cyimon (Chen Haiyang) previously served as CEO of OlaVM Technology and was an applied cryptography expert at ZKSpace, a senior cryptography researcher at Ping An Technology, and a senior R&D engineer at Huawei. He holds a master's degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and a bachelor's from Harbin Engineering University.
Yovela Luo previously worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Citi (FIG, cross-border M&A, fintech), and held investment roles at Tencent and Binance. She studied Business Administration and Philosophy at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Together, they lead Fiamma, which raised $4M in seed funding led by Lightspeed Faction and L2 Iterative Ventures.
