About Enso

Enso is an intent-based execution layer for crypto. It abstracts complex onchain operations into simple, reusable components called Actions and Shortcuts. Instead of manually integrating multiple protocols and blockchains, developers can express user intent, and Enso automatically routes it to the most efficient execution path across supported networks.

Its core value proposition is a unified engine that maps all onchain interactions to a single shared layer. This eliminates the need for custom smart contract integrations, reduces maintenance overhead, and lets builders focus on product experience. For end users, it means faster, cheaper, and more reliable transactions without needing to understand the underlying complexity.

The main pain point Enso addresses is the fragmentation and engineering burden in DeFi. Building cross-chain or multi-protocol applications traditionally requires extensive auditing, integration work, and ongoing maintenance. Enso solves this by providing a standardized abstraction layer, so developers can ship features quickly and users get a smoother experience.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Enso launched its RWA App, connecting over 500 tokenized assets including equities, ETFs, treasuries, commodities, and stablecoins. It partnered with Ondo and xStocks to bring institutional-grade assets onchain, and integrated with Anchorage Digital's Porto wallet and Bitget Wallet for broader distribution. The platform also expanded to the MegaETH ecosystem. At Money20/20, Enso discussed how its Quoter component detects and filters toxic order flow, over-quoting, and misleading simulations to ensure more accurate execution for users.

Enso started as a DeFi social strategy product, then pivoted to blockchain developer abstraction, launching APIs, Shortcuts, and the Intent Engine, and eventually building Enso Network, a Tendermint-based decentralized L1 that unifies smart contract interactions through "intents," aiming to become a universal cross-chain execution layer.

Key milestones: 1) The ENSO token launched and was listed on Upbit, Bitget, and Binance, significantly improving liquidity and market attention, and providing price discovery for network adoption. 2) It suffered a malicious liquidity pool attack, with inflated quotes of approximately $225,000 in the Curve pool; the incident exposed the sensitivity of intent/routing systems to external liquidity manipulation and drove subsequent improvements in quote verification, slippage controls, and risk management. 3) It kept expanding across multi-chain ecosystems and integrating many protocols, with cumulative settlement exceeding tens of billions of dollars, moving chain abstraction from concept to production. In the long term, if Enso delivers on its security and decentralization roadmap, it could become key infrastructure for the multi-chain intent layer.
