About Chainflip
Key milestones and long-term significance of Chainflip:
Mainnet launch in March 2024 enabled native cross-chain swaps for BTC, ETH and other assets without bridges or wrapped tokens, establishing the foundation for a decentralized liquidity network.
v2.0 removed Polkadot RPC dependencies and enabled full EVM wallet support, paving the way for native BTC lending and multi-chain expansion.
v2.2 integrated TRON, connecting the chain with the largest USDT circulation, and introduced Lending 2.0 unified pool model: supplied assets are no longer idle and can earn additional yield via Boost. Oracle-based stablecoin strategies were also added to improve capital efficiency.
Chainflip Lending fully launched, supporting native cross-chain lending of BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC and USDT. Collateral and borrowing can be on different chains, with auto-collateralization and soft liquidation reducing risk, creating sustainable protocol revenue.
Deflationary milestone: cumulative FLIP burns exceeded total emissions since TGE, with supply falling from a peak of ~95.7M back to ~90M, driven by buy-and-burn from swap fees without governance votes, demonstrating long-term value capture.
