The number of initial unemployment claims in the United States slightly decreased to the lowest level since July, while the number of continuing unemployment claims fell to a three-year low, decreasing by 11,000 to 1.7 million, the lowest since March 2023.
The four-week moving average of initial unemployment claims dropped to a seven-week low of 200,000.
