About Spiko

Spiko is a French tokenization platform that issues UCITS-regulated money market funds, including EU T-Bills and US T-Bills money market funds, as well as the Overnight Swap Fund (SAFO) launched with Amundi. Its business registers fund shares on blockchains such as Ethereum and Stellar, with plans to expand to Solana, allowing investors to participate with as little as 1 euro (or equivalent in USD, GBP, CHF) and enabling programmatic access via API or smart contracts.

The core competitiveness lies in combining strictly regulated funds with blockchain-enabled instant settlement. Traditional fund subscriptions and redemptions rely on bank wire transfers and typically require T+2 settlement. Spiko, through stablecoin payment rails such as USDC and EURC, enables near-instant subscriptions and redemptions. Fund assets are held by CACEIS, and the shareholder register is transparent in real time. This addresses the pain points of traditional money market funds: limited liquidity, high minimums, and restricted operating hours.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Spiko and Amundi launched SAFO, managed by Amundi, using fully collateralized total return swaps to provide overnight liquidity in four currencies. At the end of June, Spiko's two UCITS funds integrated Coinbase Payments, accepting USDC and EURC, becoming the first European UCITS funds to accept stablecoin payments and enabling 24/7 on-chain subscriptions and redemptions. Later, Amundi and Spiko announced plans to bring SAFO to Solana, further expanding blockchain coverage. These developments advance tokenized funds toward institutional-grade infrastructure.

Spiko was founded in 2023 to tokenize money market funds via blockchain. In June 2024, it launched Europe's first UCITS-compliant tokenized money market funds, offering euro and US dollar T-bill exposure and providing SMEs and retail investors with low-barrier access to institutional-grade cash management tools.

In January 2025, Spiko natively deployed on Arbitrum One, expanding cross-chain and delivering compliant treasury yield products to the on-chain ecosystem, advancing RWA adoption on major blockchain networks.

In July 2025, Spiko completed a $22 million Series A round led by Index Ventures, with participation from White Star Capital and notable angel investors. At that time, AUM surpassed $400 million, with over $900 million in working capital processed and 1,000+ businesses served, projecting $1 billion AUM by year-end. This marks its transition from startup to scale-up.

Key developments (Mar–Sep 2026):

  1. On 19 Mar 2026, Spiko and Amundi launched SAFO, a tokenized UCITS money market fund (EUR/USD/GBP/CHF) with 24/7 transferability, on-chain NAV via Chainlink, and sub-€1 minimums. AuM quickly surpassed $1B with 6,500+ users.

  2. On 2 Jul 2026, SAFO went live on Solana as the first European RWA issuer on that network, expanding to its 8th blockchain (after Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Starknet, Stellar, Etherlink).

  3. In July 2026, Spiko enabled borrowing EUR CoinVertible (SG-FORGE's MiCA-compliant stablecoin) by pledging SAFO shares as collateral via Morpho – extending the earlier SG-FORGE collateral feature to SAFO. The fund's NAV is published on-chain via Chainlink.

  4. Spiko also integrated Coinbase Payments at fund level, allowing native stablecoin (EURC/USDC) subscriptions and redemptions for its T-Bills funds – a world first for UCITS.

Future focus: expanding multi-chain availability, deepening DeFi composability (collateralized lending, AI-agent treasury management), and promoting stablecoins as a payment rail for cross-border B2B flows.
