SEC Commissioner Uyeda: Dismiss multiple cryptocurrency cases to avoid damaging SEC's reputation

Fox Business crypto reporter posted on the X platform that SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda stated that the SEC has withdrawn multiple cryptocurrency cases left over from the previous administration, as continuing to defend legal interpretations that are set to be overturned would damage the SEC's credibility.

Uyeda mentioned that the commission is preparing to make a "180-degree turn" on the relevant interpretations. He also stated that the SEC's innovative exemptions for tokenized securities are a "pilot program," which could create more opportunities for newcomers and traditional financial companies.
